1. Getting Started
1.1 Account Setup
  • Download the Geotten app from official app stores only
  • Register using your institutional email address
  • Complete biometric enrollment (fingerprint and/or face recognition)
  • Verify your account through the email confirmation link
  • Ensure your device has location services enabled
1.2 Device Requirements
  • iOS 12.0+ or Android 8.0+ operating system
  • Biometric sensor (fingerprint scanner or Face ID/facial recognition)
  • GPS capability and location services
  • Stable internet connection (WiFi or cellular data)
  • Minimum 100MB free storage space
2. Proper Usage Guidelines
2.1 Attendance Marking
  • Be Present: Only mark attendance when physically present at the designated location
  • Use Your Own Device: Always use your personal device and biometric data
  • Mark Promptly: Mark attendance within the specified time window
  • One Session Per Person: Each person should mark their own attendance

2.2 Biometric Authentication
  • Ensure your fingers are clean and dry for fingerprint scanning

  • Use the same finger/face that you registered during setup
